ARNEC's ANNUAL THEME FOR 2014
'ECD ON THE GLOBAL AGENDA: BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS FOR SUSTAINABILITY AND HARMONY'
To keep the momentum going and to put ECD at the heart of post-2015 Global Development Agenda, ARNEC will keep on advocating in 2014 to ensure ECD is placed on the post-2015 global agenda.
Our annual theme 2014 is therefore,
´ECD on the global agenda: Building Partnerships for sustainability and harmony.´
We will continue to build strong partnerships across sectors and different disciplines, organisations, agencies and institutions in the Asia-Pacific Region according to our mission. We value our existing partnerships and we will also more rigorously explore new and further partnerships in the strategic areas all of which will contribute to the stronger and more dynamic ECD community in the region and to become a good partner within the global ECD community
Investing in our youngest children because we strongly believe that, in the long run, it is a most effective approach to a sustainable and harmonious society for all. We will further look into these emerging themes within research and other advocacy work ARNEC and partners are involved in.
ARNEC will keep on working for our Goals towards 2015:
- The Asia-Pacific region will have established a stronger and more dynamic ECD community that contributes to holistic national ECD policies
- A holistic and inclusive ECD agenda is articulated, disseminated and adopted in the Asia-Pacific region
- The ECD knowledge-base specific to the Asia-Pacific region is enhanced
- The Asia-Pacific ECD experiences increasingly influence the global ECD agenda.
